Riesling vines
In the vineyard, some Riesling vines have been planted. Where are they located, and what is their progress like?
The rationale behind planting Riesling alongside the PIWI (fungus resistant) grape varieties “Muscaris” and “Sauvignac” was driven by the following considerations: Can the Riesling variety, known as the most valuable grape in Maikammer-Alsterweiler,
- Adapt to the different weather conditions on the Kalmit compared to the lower regions?
- Exhibit an “increased” resistance to fungal diseases in the proximity of the PIWI grape varieties?
